Moved to B'lore with lot of inputs from friends about the place - happening city, all cuisines available, cool weather, lot of opportunities, good places to go around, can find lot of friends, good learning places, etc. etc.
Actual experience: Yes, many of them were true - could taste good food, variety of shops - u name it and could find it, weather is pleasant, good gym/sports facilities, everything delivered at your doorstep ....
... but being in Whitefield area things that I was not aware of - airport is soooooo far :( , yet to find friends, bought a cycle to exercise but cud'nt drive bcos of the road conditions and the dust & weather, to top it all lost all my shoes kept outside the apartment, though the travel time to a location is only 20-30 mins need to wait for ~45 mins to get a uber/ola ...
... have hopes that with a little more time would get a good grip of things around here and can plan my stay to have a better experience

ReplyDeleteKayal, Nicely captured - the before-and-after part of the recent move to B'lore. Life is full of surprises. Hope you don't lose track of the small joys of life - some of them could be quite independent of which city you live in. All the best.
